Climax!

My eyes hurt, felt like rocks. It was 3:40am. I couldnt sleep , anymore. In a few hours the result of my almost 2 years of toil(o really?) would come up. And it did , at 9:10am, after hours of staring blankly at the comp screen just thinking, slightly afraid but more excited. And this was it :

Shit is over now.

22nd May arrived like any other day for me and I was hoping my internet would finally work this day. It didnt. So I was trying to use my cell phone but it was taking hopelessly too much time so my result was conveyed to me by my best school friend Yawa. And the good it was. Phy - 93 , Chem - 90, Math - 95(wtf no!) , Eng - 83(eh?) , Comp Sc - 86(wow). Total 89.4%

Damn. I wish I had gotten 1 mark more this time or 1 mark less last time i.e in 10th , which would have made my 10th and 12th result same. Well anyway, results were far better than my modest expectations and more giving than what I deserved. Up next: JEE results on the 25th. Watch out this space on the 25th for that.

Fingers crossed.

Havin a dip...

To commence nada's new life in the UK, we planned a day out 2 days before his actual leaving(yes in delhi itself). The initial invitees were large but only 3 made it to the D'day(wtf). Me , maks and ofcourse nada.It wouldnt have hurt if nada also didnt make it as long as he had agreed to pay (atlast) but 2 guys would have been really boring. After shortlisting the venues and a drama of betrayal(which I dont want to digress on) on D'day itself we decided to go to Fun N Food village. All the NGFS folks dont say boooo already, cuz nada and maks hadnt been there since god knows when and me since long. :) So we were infact excited about this cliched venue.

A Rs10 ticket in 764 and 2 stops late we arrived somewhere near IGI. We walked like a km back and hired an auto. A few arguments and Rs 70 less later we arrived ,at last, at the Appu Ghar of this side of Delhi. The pricing totally blew us apart. RS 500 per head. w00T!! .And thats because we didnt have chicks with us, a couple would have lowered the price per head to Rs 400. Darn nada and maks who couldnt get a girl in so much time as the end of school life(I was busy prepping for IIT baby). Even though we could make it inside, we would have to sacrifice the food, totally. We didnt have proper swim suits either, nada had BBall shorts, maks had Jocket boxers(rofl) and I had a trouser with many fancy pockets. Ofcourse we found a way out(all thnx to me sheesh, these guys were ready to go home than talk to a counter lady) but we were left with Rs 10 and a receipt which would pay us back Rs 200(security refunds) on our way out. That was our fare to get back home.

Inside the pool(s) everything was fun. You wouldnt have trouble imagining it yourself( unless you are gay). Everything went smoothly(except a big guy who had a tough time doing that on the water slide...hehe). We got some pics all thnx to nada bringing his cellphone inside the water area(Actually I did it for him). I would be putting it on the blog soon. I am ending it, yes abruptly cuz I remembered something imp..nah...just outta words. And oh yea, nada left India on the 8th. Wishing him a nice life there....

5 points to 5 Point Someone

Out of 20.

No kidding, the book was like a short story rather than a fully grown novel. And I am quite sure much of the lamenting about the educational system was over exaggerated but it is also, sadly, the way to get your book(or anything marketable) some market. I mean The White Tiger was no good, Slumdog Millionaire equally pathetic and both were record smashers for only one reason I can think of ,theoretically(philosophically?); people like to know about other people's distress and are somewhat relieved(pleased?) to know that they are not experiencing it first hand, may also empathize and feel some godlikeness.

I actually thought of writing a review of this book but there isnt much to it that you wouldnt already know. Took me 6 hours to finish the supposedly 270 pages of pure fun, which I didnt get . Next in line to read is Train to Pakistan by Kushwanth Singh. I am kinda in love with 200-250 pages pocket books unless they have a chapter contents like in 5PS.sheeesh...
